Torishima has been persuing the development of cutting-edge technology since our establishment in 1919.In the Research and Development department, we work close to our customers in order to develop and manufacture new products for a very competitive market, which demands smaller (environmental friendly), faster, highly efficient (energy saver) and reliable pumps.
In recent years, we have reduced the new product development time using state of the art simulation and experimental technologies, producing highly efficient and reliable pumps.
This includes the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and fluid flow measuring techniques for hydraulic development, Finite Element Methods (FEM) for assuring mechanical integrity, rotor dynamics simulation etc.
We are also dedicated to prove new materials and to develop mechanical components, e.g. bearings and mechanical seals.
All this is to comply with our objective of becoming the No. 1 pump manufacturer in the world.
