Torishima recieves orders for boiler feed pumps and condensate pumps
for PACO power plant in the Republic of Panama
Torishima has received orders from SK E&C, a South Korean major EPC, for 6 boiler feed pumps and 4 condensate pumps for the PACO power plant owned by Minera Panama S.A. in the Republic of Panama.
PACO power plant with a generation capacity of 150 MW×2 is one of the largest coal-fired power plants in Panama and will be constructed in the Punta Rincon district on the Caribbean coast, 120 km west of the capital Panama City.
The generated electricity will be supplied to a cooper mining plant 30km away.
SK Group is a prominent conglomerate whose businesses are primarily involved in the petroleum refining and telecommunication industries, and also engaged in a wide range of projects such as gas stations and
mobile phones services in South Korea.
SK E&C is affiliated with the SK Group, handling plant projects across the world including the oil refinery plants,
power plants and chemical plants.

for 6 boiler feed pumps for the Mojave Solar Plant in America.
ABENCOR belongs to the Engineering and Industry Construction Business Group of ABENGOA, and has been providing major equipment for power plants, seawater desalination plants and water transmission plants which are constructed by the ABENGOA Group.
ABENGOA Group also operates other companies such as
ABEINSA (Construction of power plants and sweater desalination plants), ABENGOA SOLAR (Operation of solar energy generation), ABENGOA WATER (Operation of seawater desalination plants).
Mojave Solar Plant will be constructed in the Mojave Desert, 100 kilometers northeast of Los Angeles.
The planned generation capacity amounts to 280MW, supplying electricity for 54,000 households.
The plant will prevent the emission of more than 350,000 metric tons of CO2 per year compared to a natural gas burning power plant. The boiled feed pumps are playing a significant role in making up the heart of the solar generation system.
In 2011, the plant was a symbolic icon of the CO2-reduction plan, where an event was held in which
the California Governor at the time, Arnold Schwarzenegger, had visited the planned construction site.
ABENGOA SOLAR is planning to construct sequential solar power plants in America and South America.

Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) for Linkou Power Plant in TaiwanName of Pump Absorber Pump Size / Type SPV900 Quantity 6units Capacity 8,000m³/min Total Head 16.5m Morter Rating 480kW Torishima has received orders from Alstom Japan for 6 seawater supply pumps for Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) for Linkou Power Plant,
which is owned by Taiwan Power Company.
We received orders for the same type of pumps for Rabigh Power Plant in Saudi Arabia from Alstom China two years ago. The high recognition of our technology and handling, including project management helped us greatly in winning this contract.
Although the electricity infrastructure is already streamlined and maintains stable supply in Taiwan,
there is a plan to replace aging power plants with the latest high-efficiency super critical power plants for the purpose of reducing environmental burdens. The Taiwanese people will have high expectations of these new plants.

Torishima recieves orders for boiler feed and condensate pumps
for the SWCC Ras Al Khair Power and Desalination Plant.Torishima has received orders from a consortium formed by AL ARRAB Contracting Co.,
a Saudi Arabian company, and SEPCOⅢ, a Chinese firm, for 30 boiler feed pumps and 20 condensate pumps
for the SWCC Ras Al Khair Power and Desalination Plant, Phase Ⅰ- package P project.
A combined cycle power plant with a generation capacity of 2,400 megawatts will be constructed in Ras Al Khair,
a Saudi Arabian town lying on the Persian Gulf 200 kilometers northwest of Damman, the third largest city in the country.
The plant will be composed of five blocks, with two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) installed in each.
We will supply six boiler feed pumps, two 100-percent condensate pumps, and two 12.5-percent condensate pumps for each of the blocks.
We have supplied a great number of boiler feed and condensate pumps in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, with excellent operation records. The high evaluations we have received and the high reputation we have earned helped us greatly in winning this large-scale contract.

Torishima recieves orders for fresh water pumps
for the Sha Tin No.2 Fresh Water Pumping StationTorishima has received orders for fresh water pumps for the Sha Tin No.2 Fresh Water Pumping Station from the Water Supplies Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China.
With no major river in its own territory, Hong Kong is supplied with 70 percent of its running water from the Dong River, which flows through the province of Guangdong, through a water pipe with a capacity of 807.53 cubic meters per second.
Sha Tin Water Treatment Works, a water treatment plant with the largest capacity in Hong Kong, processes water coming from the Dong River through pumping stations, including the Muk Wu Pumping Station and the Tai Po Tau Pumping Station (both of which we manufactured and supplied several pumps for), to distribute treated water to the main area of Kowloon and parts of Hong Kong Island.
Since it started operation in the 1960s, Sha Tin Water Treatment Works has been working for the people of Hong Kong. But as its facilities are aging, its existing pumps need to be replaced. As such, we have received orders for fresh water pumps for the Sha Tin No.2 Fresh Water Pumping Station, which will use the pumps to send treated water to a reservoir.
As major pumping stations and water treatment plants in Hong Kong are reaching the end of their service lives, the government has plans for the replacement or expansion of many plants. Torishima to exhibit at "EverythingAboutWater EXPO 2012" in India
Torishima exhibits at “EverythingAboutWater EXPO 2012", the February 9th to 11th at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida in India.
The EXPO is South Asia's largest and the only show in the India organised by water experts. With more than 340 exhibitors, over 18,500 visitors are expected to delegate from all over the world.
Torishima has been supplying the country with a number of pumps including boiler circulating pumps for decades and established a local corporation in Haryana, India last year.
